Baby Kyle has arrived

Baby Kyle arrived on December 15, 2006 at 9:21 am. He had us all in suspense for many hours...but was definitely worth the wait. I was started on Pitocin at 0645 am on Thursday, Dec. 14th and by 1030 am they broke my water. I progressed quickly to 3 cm, but by 8 hours later I was still only a 3 and he hadn't moved down. :( We were very discouraged. I got an epidural and decided to keep trying to labor him down. But, by 0400 in the am I was crying and tired and still a 3! I took some medicine and a nap and then by some miracle at 0700 I had reached 9cm! I thought we had a for sure vaginal delivery going now and we called in the troups and got ready for delivery....but, he still didn't want to come down the birth canal. After pushing with some contractions he just wouldn't budge, and then my contractions decided to stop. So, they finally called a C-Section and he was born at 0921! He weighed in at a whoping 6#15oz and was 19.5 " long. He has his mommy's nose and lips and his daddy's toes and cheeks! He is beautiful. He has a handsome olive color skin tone. So far he appears to have George's blue eyes (but we will have to wait and see if they change) and some dark little fuzzy hair on his head. He is a wonderful breastfeeder and hardly seems to know how to cry unless he is hungry (like his Daddy!). He is a brave little guy too! He just had his circumcision and didn't even make a peep! He is a little yellow today, so they are going to put him on the bililights today to be safe. We should go home tomorrow (Monday)....we will post some pics then! Thanks for all the prayers...because this is definitely our prayers and dreams all come true!
